Red Steel 2 review

Remember that terrible FPS released on the launch of the wii? Yeah forget that one. With the shockingly different look and feel of Red Steel 2, I don’t know why the game is even carrying the brand name in the first place.

Alpha protocol review

The best way to explain my feelings about alpha protocol is to compare two aspects that make a fine balance in any game: quality and quantity.

Alan Wake Review

Around two years ago Alan Wake wrote a novel, killing off the protagonist of his best selling thriller series. He hasn't written anything since. He's a writer and like most fictional writers he’s struggling with personal problems and the dreaded 'writers block'. He's a bit like Hank Moody but without the casual sex. He takes a break from busy New York to the small town of Bright Falls with his wife Alice. It seems the perfect American small town but there’s a dark force at work all-emanating from the local lake. The Darkness (unfortunately not the band) begins to take over the town, contaminating the local population and kidnapping Alice. Armed with a series of flashlights, guns and some conveniently placed frag grenades Alan sets out to stop the Darkness and get her back.

Split/Second Velocity review

Disney’s grown a pair and given us split second; a game of true action-movie magnitude.

iPhone 4 prices

Apples website went live, and now it's down due to a preorder overload. However NRM can now confirm that the iPhone 4 is available sim free from the apple website. Preorders are only being taken on the black model, as White models are expected to face a delay.

The 16gb version will come in at £499 and the 32gb at £599. I want to know what you guys think. Would you pay these premium prices for apple's new devices? Are the upgrades worth the money?

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands review

Déjà vu; a word of few definitions, both personal and formally.

It can strike emotions of dullness; the sheer repetitiveness of life grinding even the best of us down to mere dust. The other is blissful return; the feeling of “coming home” as it were.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands falls right in the centre of these two polar extremes. You feel euphoric for the return of the original ‘Sands of Time’ formula many have cried out for; but only to a certain extent.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Here is the ninth instalment of the accursed Elm Street, accompanied by a debutant director in Samuel Bayer. For those who have seen the original film, you needn’t bother with this pointless exercise of a horror film. Generic conventions such as the loud clanging noise followed by a musical chord, screaming teenagers; and of course a voice transformer in order to allow Freddy Krueger to speak with a deep, ominous voice.
